MOTH – your flexible alternative – duo – trio – combo

“Acoustic rock meets the Blues, Folk, Country and Americana for a laidback barfight. It’s every genre for themselves. Battle ensues. Everyone wins. MOTH emerges unscathed.”

“What a lovely night, full of energy with a dash of haunting wistfulness that takes you on a journey through your own memories. The sound was so well balanced, that all the instruments and voices blended beautifully, and yet each was clear and distinct. Thank you.
“Last night at The Station East I had the absolute pleasure of seeing in my humble opinion one of the best bands from our region. Moth had it all – stunning musicians, hilarious between song banter and Pete Shaw’s brilliant and sometimes moving lyrics. His song The Invisible Me blew me away as it struck a chord as we all have a vieled persona. Plus we had the Geordie Mick Khan on fretless bass! So please try so see the amazing Moth and buy their album which is coming out soon – you will be amazed.
“You sounded great! a cross between the Waterboys & Kevin McDermott Orchestra”
“Stomping 2nd set after professionally dealing with those pesky tech issues in the 1st set. I have to say I love the tune ‘far away place’ it’s a masterpiece, you must get recorded with this line up, get it up online… “
“”MOTH (duo version of the band); clever, catchy originals, with some great covers thrown in. I didn’t know what to expect, but I didn’t expect such musicianship”
Emerging in 2024 from Northumberland, United Kingdom, MOTH blends alternative rock, blues, country, americana, folk and ambient into a genre-defying sound.
